What's a PIC ?

PIC(Peripheral Interface Controller), known as ' programmable IC', is a microprocessor chip that has I/O port, A/D converter, etc., but small enough to be on 1/10 R/C car. You can program with free software, and write with PIC writer that you can make easily.

In the japanese R/C club on net, AORc, illuminated body with LEDs and laptime measuring system, 'LapTalk', or more exciting devices are invesyigated. That was why I was very ibnterested in PIC.

It is easy to start PIC because a minimum knowledge was required about electronics. Some programming techniques are necessary, still easy to learn...

For example, these are possible.........
Data logger that can record a velocity on the circuit at 0.1sec intervals.
Moving rear-wing
Sounds
